After I created the ISO from these zip files, installation was tricky. I used virtualbox and windows 95. The installer implies this version of lightwave is for Windows 3.1x or Windows NT (most likely 3.51). It starts off with asking if you want to install NT or Win32s (a subset of win32 that runs in 16bit Windows (windows 3.x). Since I was installing in windows 95, I chose the win32s option, but then chose to NOT install win32s. Sadly the installer fails due to what looks like at first glance "missing files".
However, it turns out many of the files with the underscore character need to be replaced with a hyphen character. So copy the installer on to a directory and rename files with underscore. Some also need the ampersand character in the filename as well.
Another problem (could be my misuse of this retro OS or misuse of just virtualbox) was the path of the installer would not work so as a workaround, I copied the installation to the C: .. yea its clutter on the C: but its the only way I can get this to work.
Last of all, the cracks included must be run, but instructions are in spanish, so use an online translator.
And it works.. I was baffled to see these ancient UI... amiga looking UI running in windows... crazy cool.
Enjoy.

Hi Gulliver,
I double-checked the files, and there are working! Pls note that the info-file that comes with the split files contains an MD5-checksum. The checksum you've got after using hjsplit is indeed different. It is THAT much different, that it was clear to me, it's NOT an MD5-checksum at all! Whatever it is, it's a totally different algorithm... Couldn't find any information on there website about it. (www.hjsplit.org/docs/online_manual)
After rejoining the files, using hjsplit, you get a file without the ".7z"- extension. To uncompress the file, these extension is not actually necessary. You may give it to the file if you like to, or not. After decompressing you got your .iso-file you're easily able to mount, using daemon-tools.
Best rgds

Again, this is just a fake archive. I followed all directions to rebuild the iso and I ended up with a corrupt file.

There is no RAR needed. The files are split you need a tool like hjsplit to rejoin them and then it will be just a normal .7z file of the Lightwave 4.0 iso.

You are missing the .rar file for this program.
