Aztec was a quite decent C compiler back in the early days (~1985) of DOS. Reasonably compliant with contemporary UNIX standards and padded out with a batch of UNIX-ish utilities. Unfortunately, it was fairly pricely (~250 bucks) for its time, and it wasn't distributed by Microsoft, so it basically got its block knocked off when Turbo C appeared.
