I have used Laplink Pro v4.0 successfully for years and still use it on my old Dos machines. All I have ever used is a standard serial cable with a null modem adapter. Works great!

Laplink was used to connect two pc's together for data transfer. you could access the hard drive of the host pc with another pc. It needs a special data transfer serial cable.

Laplink allows the transfer of files across a serial cable. Kick ass stuff that saved transferring via floppies back in the late eighties/early nineties.
