Once unzipped, you can open the pirates file in a DOS window and play the game. A game book and map are very helpful. I havent figured out the keyboard controls, so you may want to invest in an old-fashioned joystick.
Microprose made this excellent game in the late 80's called Pirates for the Commodore 64/128. Undoubtedly one of the best RPG's of its day.
