I have just uploaded VB 3.0 Professional Edition. I created the images from the original diskettes from my own archive. It's the real deal, no crappy zipped folders, incomplete downloads, etc. Enjoy the multiple formats. :-)

"Is this 16 or 32 bit?" Visual Basic 3.0 and all of it's subsequently compiled programs are 16 bit. Because of this, the will not run on x64 bit versions of Windows. 32 bit did not come into play until windows 3.1 and Visual Basic 4.0. Even then it was subjective. Full 32 bit execs and dlls did not happen until Visual Basic 5.0. As a result, if a 32 bit program that will run in 64 bit windows has a .dll file that is 16 bit, that program will not run in 64 bit windows. "When I create a EXE file with it, it needs a VBRUN300.DLL file to run normally. Why this version of VB needs dlls? Is it too outmoded?" This is the norm for Visual Basic. VB3.0 programs require VBRun300.dll. VB4.0 programs require VBRun400.dll. VB4.5 Requires VBRun450.dll. VB5.0 Requires VBRun500.dll. VB6.0 Requires VBRun600.dll. And any other dlls that particular version requires. If you insure that the particular dll file is within the same folder or directory as the exe that you are trying to run, the program will easily find it. Hope this helps. ST

Though there are lots of pirate version of VB in China, I 'm glad to use this version, its size is small and it needn't register. But when I create a EXE file with it, it needs a VBRUN300.DLL file to run normally. Why this version of VB needs dlls? Is it too outmoded?

i am using XP & IE 8 for download the download link had a problem for me. The bar at the top of IE prompted me to download file, which i selected download file. It appeared to work but there was no download. If you click on the link 'Click here' if your download diesn't work, does work. You then need to download winrar from winrar labs to extract the files. I didn't test whether the files work or not, but... looks OK to me.

This is Microsoft Visual Basic 3.00 Standard Edition from 1993. I guess it is not a fake, but it is very incomplete.

This is painfully useless. You can't save your programs.
